Santa Fe, New Mexico’s El Ranchos de los Golindrinas plays host a fantastic summer festival called ‘Frontier Days of the West from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sat., August 4,2012. The festival showcases people dressed up as the frontier moutain men and women from 1oo plus years ago showing their skills used in those days to survive and telling stories from days gone by.

Saturday, August 4:

In the Mountain Man Camp (Hide Tanning Area):
• Visit with Mountain Men with tall tales to tell and 1800s goods to sell
• Visit with mini horses
• Try your hand at hide tanning and flint knapping
