Santa Fe Pro Music is a nationally acclaimed musical institution that was founded in 1980. It is continually increasing its performances through a selection of ensembles and programs in multiple historic Santa Fe venues. The performances include an assortment of music from the previous four centuries such as chamber ensemble and chamber orchestra. In addition, the yearly Baroque Christmas concerts are extremely popular, attracting visitors from all over the globe to Santa Fe during the holiday season. As a unique feature, Santa Fe Pro Music offers “Meet the Music,” a series of pre-concert discussions that take place one hour prior to each orchestra performance.
The Santa Fe Pro Music 2013 season continues in November with the Jasper String Quartet on Sunday, November 10th at 3 PM in the St. Francis Auditorium. A Baroque Christmas takes place from Friday, December 20th to Tuesday, December 24th at the Loretto Chapel, with performances each evening at 6 PM and 8 PM. These performances include traditional holiday carols and music by Bach, Handel and Telemann. Finally, the Brandenburg Concertos perform at the St. Francis Auditorium on Saturday, December 28th at 6 PM and on Sunday, December 29th at 3 PM.
